The motorist in Indonesia are lucky because most are still 'forcing' use of subsidized gasoline. But in Britain 1.3 million motorists to give up because of high gasoline prices.

In the UK each year the average car owners have to spend 1720 pounds, or approximately USD 23.5 million. The number is up from the previous year. Therefore, according to research in the last 12 months there are 1.3 people who are forced to have their cars parked in the garage.

As many as 45 percent of riders, or about 16.5 million people reduce their driving time and 7 percent of riders started to be willing to share a car with family or friends.

Even the 3.53 million people or about 10 percent of motorists are willing to lower the standard (downgrade) their car so the car can still be used without making the bag burst. Moreover, prices of basic needs, too, surged as gasoline prices rose dramatically in recent years.

"The high price of fuel is having a dramatic effect and for the first time take the train to be cheaper than driving," said AA president is conducting this survey, Edmund King.

"I think that more than one million people actually surrender seem high, but many more which reduces the driving time. It will have an effect on the streets and in supermarket sales," he said.
